The NGADA RSR 950 is a man-portable sector scanning surveillance radar optimised for battlefield applications. The unit has several unique features that provide the automatic detection and recognition of moving targets such as personnel, vehicles, helicopters and other battlefield related targets. Other features provided to aid the operator in target identification include:

• High resolution capability;
• Doppler audio and Doppler spectrography;
• Doppler target signature library and the capability to store observed Doppler target signatures for later analysis; and
• Classification of targets based on their Doppler signature.

The unit can operate in a sector scanning mode (surveillance) or a staring mode (target recognition/identification).

It’s low-weight, low battery power consumption and ease of operation, makes the unit ideally suited for reconnaissance and information gathering.

The system has an instrumented range that is selectable up to 50 km.
