The SPIDER RSR 940 is a highly mobile land-based, rapid deployable, continuous scanning surveillance radar that is capable of detecting and tracking low level air-targets as well as surface targets. In addition to the local control station at the system, a remote control and monitoring capability is provided. On board power generation and communications allows for autonomous operation of the system.

The radar has an instrumented range of 40 km.
