The SPIDER RSR 942 is a sector scanning surveillance radar. Based on the SPIDER RSR 940 the RSR 942 is also a highly mobile, land based, rapid deployable system. The man portable configuration that offers similar characteristics to the RSR 942 is the NGADA RSR 950 described below. The RSR 942 is ideally suited for the detection and recognition of moving personnel, helicopters and small boats in predefined sectors that may extend over land, sea and air.
