The Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) is a multinational project to construct the largest single astronomical telescope in the Southern Hemisphere.

RRS is closely involved in the development and manufacture of high precision mechanical and control systems forming part of the structure, dome drives and the tracker mechanisms of the telescope’s optical payload.
